4 Reasons to Love Pattaya

Pattaya Media Trip!

Hello Beautiful People…

For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been (kind of) off and on living in Thailand since June of 2012, and it has been such a wonderful experience!  One of the best parts of living in this beautiful country is that there are endless places to visit, and they are all very unique!  Now, today’s blog entry is going to be specifically about Pattaya, a city that’s just a quick taxi ride from the Thai capital city of Bangkok!

The first thing you might hear about Pattaya, is its infamous red-light district that’s illuminated at night by many colored neon signs, and lined with endless go-go bars, beer bars, discotheques, sports bars, nightclubs, and brothels, which believe it or not, attract thousands of tourists from all around the world, every night!!  For me on the other hand, not my piece of cake, but if that’s what you’re into… I’m not judging 😉

So the point I want to get across today, especially for those of you who aren’t into the things I just mentioned, is that Pattaya is one of the places I loved most in Thailand, and I would personally visit again in a heart beat!!  This is why today, I will be sharing my ‘4 Reasons to Love Pattaya.”

As the host of The iTravel Channel, Asia’s hottest guide to nightlife, dining, and travel destinations, I recently was invited by Tourism Authority of Thailand as a honorary guest to join them on a special VIP tour.  Although I had been to Pattaya before, I thought it would be fun to getaway for a couple days and relax!  I’m so thankful that I went because it was an experience of a lifetime!  So here we go, lets jump right into my 4 reasons….

  • Sea Sand and Sun Pattaya
  • Kirby Studios Video Production
  • Pia's Journey to Bangkok, Thailand

1. Museums & Gallery: ART IN PARADISE; A 3D Art Gallery

I’ve never seen anything like this before in my life!  As much as I appreciate and love artwork anyway, this gallery lets you take the experience of artwork to the next level, above and beyond imaginable!  It doesn’t matter where I go in the world, there’s one constant thing that I’ve learned and that is, everyone loves to take artistic photos and of course the selfies. Better yet, why not take a selfy in incredible artwork?!  hehe.  This exactly what excited tourists come to do at Art in Paradise museum, which I’m sure you’ve realized now, is an ‘illusion’ art gallery.  This is where we made out first stop on the media tour, and it features over 10 galleries including the Camouflage Room, Under the Ocean Room, Wildlife Room, Classical Art Room, Civilization Room, Surrealism Room, Dinosaur Room, Waterfall Room, Scenery Room, and Exhibition of Art Room.  It’s a great way enjoy art, and because of all the EPIC photos we took, it definitely is on my list of reasons to love Pattaya.

2. Mimosa – Pattaya; The City of Love!

Just as the name implies, you can’t help but feel the love that’s in the air.  Mimosa, the city of love is another reason to love this beautiful city of Pattaya!  This is the only place in Thailand where you will actually feel like you’re in Europe!  It’s a brand new and in my opinion, definitely an up and coming tourist hotspot when visiting Pattaya.  Why? Because I literally got to do all the things I love in one place, including eat, shop, relax, and among the most romantic atmosphere and French architecture.  Mimosa!! Mimosa!! Mimosa – PATTAYA!!!!  Check it out!!

3. Alcazar Cabaret Show

Alright!!  You can’t leave Pattaya without going to one it’s world-famous cabaret shows!  The sets and the performances were incredible, the lights and special effects were out of this world… BUT there was just one small tiny little twist!  None of the dancers and performers were actually girls, and I still am having a hard time believing that!  Yes, it’s really hard to believe but they’re all lady-boys and ridiculously good looking!  Personally I just found it so interesting and intriguing to watch and the performance was actually really entertaining!

4. The Sanctuary of Truth

When I first heard we were going to the Sanctuary of Truth, I had no idea what to expect.  All I was told was that it was one of the hidden treasures of Thailand.  I asked lots of people what to expect and no one actually knew anything about the place but were very interested in checking it out just from the name!  I feel we’re all in search of truth, the meaning of life, or on some type of spiritual journey where we are looking for answers!  I’m not saying you’ll find the answers to life here, but it was such a surreal place to visit, and I would go back again and again!  As we walked around the sanctuary and touched the wooden carved sculptures, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this life I’m living, and was just speechless and completely still in my mind, as my senses heightened to everything I was seeing, hearing, and touching.  Loved every inch of this magnificent architecture!

And there we have it, my four reasons to love Pattaya, and I’m sure you can agree with me now, that the decision to go couldn’t be more obvious!  I’d like to give a big thanks to Tourism Authority of Thailand on behalf of The iTravel Channel, myself, and I’d like to ask just one quick question before I finish off…  Are you going or not?
