AirAsia X Founder decided not to fly long-haul routes
The airline has been seriously looking into opening up new routes to Europe and maybe to the United States especially to London since Air Asia had flown there before.
The airline had pulled out of London and Paris back in 2012, stating the four engine Airbus A340 it was flying was not cost effective for long term flights from Kuala Lumpur.
After hinting for months on the possibility Air Asia founder, Tony Fernandes, said through Twitter that Air Asia has decided not to fly ultra long haul routes.
“We have decided that ultra-long haul are not relevant now. Won’t get seduced into price wars over London”
