Month Long Celebration of Love
Valentine’s Day on February 14th is fast approaching and the Tourism Authority of Thailand is getting in to the spirit of things by joining forces with Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport and the Tourist Police to organise a special, month long celebration of love. Couples, honeymooners and other romantic souls will be encouraged to have their pictures taken at special photo booths set up in both the arrival and departure halls at the airport, where upon they will also receive a free gift and other special privileges.
We caught up with newlywed Tasmia Ahmed and Rashadul Hague from Bangladesh who were about to head to Krabi to find out why they chose Thailand for their romantic getaway. Tasmia and Rashadul, along with other couples, were also able to take advantage of a special premium lane providing fast track immigration to couples, helping to speed them on their way to their tropical paradise.
On the Valentines Day weekend, couples will be encouraged to share their love with the world via Instagram using the hashtags #RomanticThailand and #AmazingThailand. After doing so they will be treated to a complimentary souvenir to help remind them of their special trip to the land of smiles. Whilst at the airport we also met up with Mr. Sugree Sithivanich, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications who told us more about the campaign…
That concludes this special edition of iTravel Exclusives. If you will be passing through Survanabhumi Airport during the month of February be sure to look for the photo booths and don’t forget to share your pictures with us.
