Bangkok gets in the Christmas Spirit

Happy Holidays from the iTravel Family

Although Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist country, that does not mean that Christmas passes by unnoticed. Thais are renowned for their love of festivals, celebrations and beautiful decorations and so the appeal of Christmas seems to be just too strong for them to pass up!

Bangkok in particular goes all out to ensure that its residents and visitors alike can experience some of the magic of Christmas, with many of its most famous streets, shopping malls and hotels decked out in all things jolly. From giant Christmas trees, to dazzling decorations and fairy lights to santa’s grottos, Bangkok really does bring its A-game.

Christmas falls during one of the busiest months of Thailand’s peak tourist season, with many tourists choosing to swap their cold winters for Thailand’s tropical sunshine. But just because they are so far from home shouldn’t mean that they have to miss out on all the festivities.

Shopping centres and luxury hotels seem to compete with each other to dazzle visitors and locals alike with impressive displays, exquisite decorations and an incredible array of Christmas themed events and promotions to keep everyone in the Christmas spirit, and transforming Bangkok into a tropical winter wonderland!
