How to get to Phuket, Thailand

Fly: Phuket can be reached by air from both Don Muang International Airport (DMK) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) courtesy of its recently expanded Phuket International Airport (HKT), which welcomes millions of visitors to the island each year. Domestic flights are provided by airlines such as Nok Air (NOK), Bangkok Airways (PG), Thai AirAsia (FD), Thai Smile (WE) and Thai Airways International (TG). By Bus: Buses from Bangkok’s Southern Bus Terminal and other major cities run services to the island’s Bus Station 2 BKS Terminal, which is located 4km to the north of the town centre. The journey from Bangkok takes approximately 12 hours. The fare on a 1st class VIP air conditioned bus is 974THB. By Car:If you are visiting the island under your own steam, with a rented vehicle, all you have to do is drive over the Sarasin Bridge which links the island to mainland Thailand. Driving from Bangkok will take approximately 12 hours 16 minutes; the distance between the two is 858.7km.
