Grand Palace is Open to Tourism
While the Grand Palace is back open, a few things must be kept in mind. First, the hours for tourists are between 8:30am and 3:30pm daily. Secondly, the Grand Palace requests tourists to enter and exit at the Wiset Chaisri Gate only. Finally, your passport is required to be admitted and it’s highly suggested you limit any personal belongings.
What to Wear
Thailand is still in an official mourning period for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. If you plan on visiting the Grand Palace, wear appropriate and respectable attire. Preferably black clothing and shoes (no flip flops) and appear presentable.

Getting to the Grand Palace
Taxi or Uber to Grand Palace
In the current hot weather, unless you’re in a group tour, your best option is either a taxi or an Uber to stay cool. Again, it’s worth repeating: Your passport is required and Grand Palace requests visitors and tourists to only enter and exit at the Wiset Chaisri Gate only. Security will be strict, only bring bare essentials for the outing.
