Perhentian Islands, A Simple Yet Beautiful Place To Stay

The peaceful islands are located just 20 kilometres away from the East Coast of the Peninsular in Malaysia.

They are quite close to Kuala Lumpur but far enough to remain unspoilt.

The two popular islands are Pulau Perhentian Besar (the Big island) and Pulau Perhentian Kecil (the Small island)

The word ‘Perhentian’ means stopover in Malay, and according to local legend, the islands were a stopover for treasure ships traveling to the east-west shipping lane.

Today, the Perhentian Islands are a perfect stopover for those looking for rest, rejuvenation or adventure.

There are no cars and yes there are no roads on the Island! The only taxi you will see are small boat taxi.
