The Revered Landmark of Phuket, The Big Buddha

Visible from most of the areas around Phuket is the amazing, large, white marble image of the Big Buddha. The Buddha sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills and is one of the most important and revered landmarks on the island.

The Buddha is 25m wide, 45m high and weighs 135 tons. Visitors are also able to purchase a piece of marble tile to sign your name so that it can be placed forever inside the Big Buddha.
