Tsukiji Fish Market will finally be on the move

The 80 Year old world’s largest fish market is set to move to Toyosu in order to make way for the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The decision by Yuriko Koike, Tokyo Governor, was finally made after a year of delay due to the contaminated soil from the site. The delay has caused frustration to a lot of vendors and merchandise, while also causing complication to the road construction planned for the 2020 Olympics raising fears of traffic jams. But because the new location was once used as a gas plant, it would take some time to deal with the current soil pollution.
