Thai Iced Tea – Your Favorite Drink on a Hot Day
This iced tea doesn’t resemble any tea you have ever had before. It’s rich, creamy and a sweetly delicious drink which makes it popular in Thailand and internationally. If you enjoy sweet and creamy drinks then there’s hardly a more refreshing drink to have.
In Thailand, there are tons of vendors selling Thai tea on the streets, either from stable street stands or from mobile motorbike drink carts. Some of them even put in tapioca pearl in their Thai tea which goes together very well.
Many of the cha yen (Thai iced tea) vendors, use a brand of tea that comes in a red and white bag known as Cha Dra Muer – or it’s just known as Number One Brand. But if you can’t find this brand, you can just use this recipe with any black tea available near you. For this Thai iced tea recipe, you’ll need both sweetened condensed milk, and also evaporated milk.
