Competitors have a variety of races of choose from, with the 2 Km, 5 Km and 10.5 Km races taking place on the first day, along with the kids fun run, and the half and full marathon will be on the second.

Last year almost 6,000 runners representing nearly 60 different nationalities joined the event, and this year organisers expect even more. The race starts and finishes at beautiful Laguna Phuket and takes in some of the islands most beautiful scenery.

The “Road To Ultra” Thailand 2016

Up next we have the world’s premier electronic music festival returning to Thailand after two explosive installments in 2014 and 2015. The “Road To Ultra” 2016 will be headlines by global DJ superstars Avicii & Martin Garrix, and will be supported by other world class DJs, including JAUZ, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Ansolo.

The “Road To Ultra” Thailand 2016 will be held at BITEC Bangna in Bangkok on Sat 11 June and will run from 2pm until late.

The Dragon Boat Festival

Finally, let’s head to China for the Duanwu Festival or as it is more popularly known – The Dragon Boat Festival.
This spectacular annual event, which is now a public holiday in China, commemorates the life and death of the famous Chinese scholar and poet, Qu Yuan. It has been held annually for more than 2,000 years, and whilst the festival has many different cultural traditions and activities, it is the colorful dragon boat races that have truly captured people’s imaginations.

The festival takes place throughout China from June 9-11, and dragon boat races can be witnessed on waterways across the country.
