Promoting Responsible Tourism for a Sustainable Community


Tourism Authority of Thailand are expecting everyone in the coming year to be responsible for their business by protecting the environment, community, and to benefit more people overall.

Some examples of sustainable tourism from TAT is the waste management during the local festivals and building tourism networks to be environmentally conscious.

TAT’s goal is to make sure that tourism can actually be a part of taking care of the community, country, and making sure that we leave something for the younger generation to cherish and look up to.

Strategy for the Domestic Market

TAT will focus on increasing the travel frequency of these potential groups including Silver Age, Millennials, Families, Gen-Y, Multi generations, and Ladies, by introducing more diverse things for tourists to do.

TAT stated that they will continue to make Thailand a quality and leisure destination for everyone who wants a one in a life time, unforgettable experience.
