Celebrating 10th Season
At iTravel we are always trying to find the most interesting, innovative and fun activities to recommend to our viewers. And an evening with the prestigious Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra is something we cannot recommend more. Celebrating their 10th season, it was the perfect time for iTravel to pay a visit.
A hypnotic blend of live music, culture, skill and passion is what they offer audiences – and pure joy is what the audience will feel. iTravel presenter Natalie met with the Dean of the esteemed Mahidol University College of Music, Associate Professor Dr. Sugree Charoensook, who founded the orchestra. She also found out about the role of the Concert Master from Khun Sitichai Pengcharoen. And also had the chance to talk with German medical doctor and conductor, Dr. Stefan Willich on his first time working with the TPO in Thailand.
Natalie also managed to talk to the concert’s soloist -, Thai Saxophone star, Wisuwat Pruksaranich. The show was a world-first debut for a saxophone and orchestral piece that was absolutely breathtaking. An energetic, soulful and modern piece that deftly combined electric guitar, Saxophone and the 90-piece orchestra.
The most touching part of the show was when Wisuwat asked his father to stand up in the audience and dedicated a piece to him – something that brought many of the audience to tears.
