Wonder Fruit festival 2015 in Pattaya, Thailand
First up, is the Wonder Fruit festival! Make your way down to the Fields at Siam Country Club in Pattaya for this incredible event with four days of celebration from December 17th to the 20th.

Eel and Jasamine Rice Festival 2015 in Surin, Thailand
Next up in Surin is the Eel and Jasamine Rice Festival which runs December 19 to the 20th in the Chumphon Buri District of Surin in front of the District Hall. In addition to being known for its Hom Mali Rice, villagers catch no less than 5 tons of eel per year!
Phuket Carnival Festival 2015
Make the trip down to Phuket and partake in the Phuket Carnival Festival in Patong Beach. Patong is the island’s party town and the annual carnival kicks off the high season. Enjoy the parades, light shows, and traditional Thai Dance performances. There’s also live music countless activities, and what would a festival be without vendors selling delicious food and souvenirs. Located on Patong Beach, including Loma Park and the huge sports field, it’s hard to miss. The carnival runs from December 15th to the 20th.
Festival of Lights 2015 in Tokyo, Japan
Finally, as it’s the holiday season, if you plan on being in Tokyo or can make the trip, there’s the Festival of Lights 2015, also known as Hikari no Saiten. The display includes an awesome display of over 700,000 bulbs associated with winter in the Takenotsuka area of Adachi-ku. The main venue for the event is Motofuchie Park which features beautiful lights and a different theme each year with eight of the tallest natural trees in Tokyo – 20 meters tall – stunningly decorated. The festival runs until Christmas Day, December 25th.
