The iTravel Production Crew Returns to Myanmar
After a successful pilot series about travel to Yangon, The iTravel Channel TV team returns to Myanmar for the next installment. Follow our production crew as they travel to Yangon for further exploration. After Yangon, the team visits several new and exciting destinations including Bago, Kyaiktiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock Pagoda), Heho, Inle Lake, and Taunggyi.
The iTravel Channel production team travels from Bangkok to Yangon on November 9, 2016, to film the latest installment of travel videos from Myanmar. The team departs Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) on Thai AirAsia (FD) flight 521.
Our production crew flew Thai AirAsia to Yangon. On-board, they enjoy premium products including seats and pre-booked meals. The production team poses with the Thai AirAsia cabin crew for a pic of what’ll soon become a journey to remember.
Arrival to Yangon International Airport (RGN)
Thai AirAsia Flight 521 touches down right on-time at Yangon International Airport (RGN).
Upon arrival, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism greets our production crew. After an exchange of greetings, the group travels to the Sedona Hotel in Yangon.
Next up was a meet and greet session with the Director of Sales and Marketing at Sedona Hotel. Aside from introductions, the production team learns about the property and its history.
The production team hit the streets of Yangon for a day of filming. First, is a stop at the Vestige Café. It’s a quick chance to relax prior to filming their delicious food. Before leaving, everyone joins in a group picture, including a co-owner at the Vestige Café. The photo will serve as a reminder of their superb food and warm hospitality.
The team is able to see Karaweik, an ornate palace on the eastern shore of Kandawgyi Lake in Yangon. Afterwards, they return to Sedona Hotel for the evening.
Sunset, Dinner, and Cultural Performance
The production crew returns to the Sedona Hotel, in time to capture the magnificent sunset. Exhausted, the team is able to sit, relax, and enjoy dinner at Sedona Hotel. Afterwards, they’re treated to a traditional Burmese performance.
Tomorrow, the production team will travel to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, also known as Golden Rock, for Sunset. The Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is located atop Kyaikhtiyoe Hill, adding a sense of adventure. Day three takes the team back to Yangon. Much hard work is involved, including the lifting of camera equipment, lighting, and other fixtures for additional filming.
The team wraps up in production Yangon on November 12, 2016. However, a new adventure awaits as the team packs up for Heho, located near Inle Lake. The goal, to witness and capture the magic of the famous Hot Air Balloon Festival in Taunggyi, Myanmar.
